Ashby-by-Partney, Ashby-East, or Ashby-on-the-Wold, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, on the Steeping river, 2 miles E of Spilsby station on the G.N.R. Post town, Spilsby, which is the money order and telegraph office. Acreage, 1026; population, 99. The living Is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net yearly value, £85. The church is a plain Gothic building of brick, and was restored in 1891. There is also a Wesleyan chapel
