Sway, Hampshire

Sway, a parish in Hants, with a station on the L. & S.W.R., 95 miles from London, and 4 NW of Lymington. It has a post and money order office under Lymington; telegraph office, at the railway station. Acreage, 2208; population, 863. Sway House and Shirley Holmes are the chief residences. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Winchester; gross value, £160 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Winchester. The church is a plain structure of brick. There are Baptist and Wesleyan chapels.
