Description
Sparsholt, a parish, with a village, in Hants, 2 1/2 miles WNW of Winchester station on the L. & S.W.R. It has a post office under Winchester; money order and telegraph office, Winchester. Acreage, 3552; population, 412. Some Roman remains have been found. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Winchester; gross value, £220 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is good and has been restored.
