Description
Crookham, a tithing and a chapelry in Crondall parish,. Hants. The tithing lies on the Basingstoke Canal, 2 miles SE of Fleet station on the L. & S.W.R., and 4 ENE of Odiham,.and has a post and money order office under Winch-field ; telegraph office, Church Crookham. The chapelry is, more extensive than the tithing, and was constituted in 1841> Population, 1069. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Winchester; value, £228 with residence. Patron, the Vicar of Crondall. The church is good, and was enlarged in 1877.
