Description
Coombe-Keynes, a parish in Dorsetshire, 2 miles S of Wool station on the L. & S.W.R., and 5 1/2 WSW of Wareham. Post town, W ool, under Wareham; money order and telegraph office, Wool. Acreage, 2011; population, 119. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Salisbury; value, £100. The church, with the exception of the tower, was rebuilt in 1862, consists of nave and chancel, and is in the Early English style.

Parish Church
The church of the Holy Rood, rebuilt in 1860, is of stone, in the Early English style, and consists of chancel, nave, north porch and a low western tower containing 3 bells (one of which is dated 1599): the east window is stained and there is an ancient font, and a brass to Henry Budden, 1906: The church affords 124 sittings.

The register dates from the year 1592, but a lost register has been found which dates from 1585; marriages, 1583 and burials, 1586.
