Description
Tudy, St, a parish, with a village, in Cornwall, 7 miles N by W of Bodmin Road station on the G.W.R., and 3 from South Kew Highway on the L. & S.W.R. It has a post and money order office under South Breward; telegraph office, South Breward. Acreage, 3283; population, 520. Hengar House is a seat of the baronet family of Onslow The living is a rectory in the diocese of Truro; net value, £415 with residence. Patron, Christchurch, Oxford. The church is a building of stone in the Perpendicular style, has been well restored at various times, and contains some interesting monuments. There is a Free Methodist chapel.
