Creed, a parish in Cornwall, on the river Fal, 4 miles from Grampound Road station on the G.W.R., and 6 1/2 SW by W of St Austell. It contains the greater part of Grampound township, which has a post, money order, and telegraph office. Acreage, 2666 ; population, 663. There are traces of ancient camps. The living is a rectory, in the diocese of Truro; gross value, £450 with residence. The old parish church is not used, a new church having been built in Grampound.
